Ultimate Power Yoga
with trainer Rodney Yee
You will love it if:
When I think “yoga,” I think Rodney Yee. Yee’s soothing voice and relaxed personality are perfect for guiding you through a yoga workout. His instructions are clear, and he combines poses in a fluid and graceful manor. The combination of routines on this DVD will build your core strength and improve your flexibility—a great combination for injury prevention—while helping you relax and de-compress during (or after) a hectic day. Pop one in before bed, and I guarantee you will sleep better that night.
A yoga mat. It's yoga.
You need enough space to fit your yoga mat on the ground (plus an extra foot on each side of the mat).
These workouts are pretty easy for anyone. However, Yee doesn’t show any modifications, so you may need to decrease your range of motion on some poses if you aren’t super flexible or strong.
What NOT to Expect
Though yoga does improve your strength, flexibility, and focus, it is about as far as you can get from a cardio workout. If you want something that will get your heart racing and your lungs gasping for breath, yoga is not it. Yoga is also not going to leave you with bulging biceps or powerful legs. Better try something else if you want to leap over small children or impress the ladies with your biceps.
